Level 1: The level 1 course is designed for students who plan to enter the workforce or a technical school upon graduation. 

Level 2:  The level 2 course is designed for students who plan to obtain an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Students are expected to read independently, write longer compositions, and assume responsibility for their own education.  

Level 3: The level 3 course is designed for college-bound honors students who demonstrate competence in English and possess academic motivation. Students are expected to read independently, write longer compositions, and assume responsibility for their own education.* Specific prerequisites exist for scheduling a Level 3 or Level 4 course. Please consult the Course Selection Guide for prerequisite information.

Level 4: The level 4 course is designed for academically motivated college-bound honors students who demonstrate a high level of competence and interest in English. Students are expected to read independently, write longer compositions, and assume responsibility for their own education.* Specific prerequisites exist for scheduling a Level 3 or Level 4 course.
